Anton Schneider
Until the recent exits by Carlyle Europe from these engagements, Anton was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Honsel and Chairman of the Shareholders Steering Committee of Messer Eutectic Castolin. For both of these Carlyle investments, Anton held the overall responsibility for the implementation of the value creation plans, which he had established, and assured their rigorous implementation.
Prior to his activities for Carlyle, Anton was CEO of DEUTZ AG. In this capacity, he first implemented a
€ 508 million debt reduction plan, which saved the company from insolvency. He then restructured the company operationally.
Prior to this, Anton held various high-profile positions in the German industry, was a Manager at The Boston Consulting Group’s Munich Office and worked as an assistant to the then Austrian Minister of Industry, Ferdinand Lacina.
Anton has graduated in business administration from the Hochschule fuer Welthandel in Vienna.
